Re: Chevron Header ad? (3.00 / 1)

Or is it the corporate devil recognizing that a half million liberals a day is an important market?

Capitalism is not anathema to liberalism.  In fact, responsible capitalism is the most successful way to spread liberal democracy.

Re: Chevron Header ad? (none / 0)

Sorry, but an putting up an ad supporting Chevron's supposedly green tendencies is not only false advertising, but definitely anathema to liberal or prgressive values of any stripe.  Just becuase the money is going to a good place does not mean it's OK for MYDD to take blood money from Chevron.

It's a slippery slopw, and I think this is an indication of things to come - corporate greed will outweigh the will to do good in the Democratic party once they are in power.

Discussed on *redacted* (none / 0)

This topic was discussed on the big orange political blog.

I had no idea that redacted had so many DLC types. Straw men were knocked down like so many dominoes. Rovian false dichotomies - "You're either with us or you're against us" -  were invoked with abandon. The PC police showed up making dictionary flames. (And I thought that spelling flames were lame.)

In summary, the topic proved to be quite divisive.
